"How long will it take to get to the river?" I buzzed, my new gold pan in hand. "Not long, just follow me," Jake replied. He then started hiking down the hillside at a fast pace. I started jogging behind him, tripping on a stone every so often. As we were running, I saw the odd daffodil on the verge of blooming. After what seemed like hours, we reached the river. The sun was already setting and the sky was a soft pink . Above the river sat an aged, rickety bridge . I immediately started panning for gold. The first few times, dirt and gravel just sprinkled through. I panned once more, when I searched, there was a huge chunk of gold!
